How the credits are registered?

When the examiner has evaluated the students’ course performance, the grades are registered in the student information system of the course host university. All the Helsinki GSE partnering universities - Aalto University, the Hanken School of Economics and the University of Helsinki - are using Sisu as their student information system.

Information about credit transfer for different groups of students is provided below.

Before taking and completing a course make sure that the credits can be counted towards your degree at your home university by checking which courses are included in your curriculum or contacting your home university’s student/learning services. All the PhD students are advised to contact their supervisors to be sure that the course credit can be counted towards their degree.

If you have registered for a course through RIPA cross-institutional studies service with your Helsinki GSE network study right, your credits will automatically transfer to your completed studies in Sisu. You do not need to separately apply for credit transfer.

The completed credits will appear in your own SISU:

If you need help with the credit transfer, please contact Jenni Rytkönen, firstname.lastname@aalto.fi. You can also contact your home university's student/learning services:
