Content
The course covers three themes in macroeconomics. Each theme will combine foundational readings with recent research contributions, including both theoretical and empirical work. Possible areas of emphasis include financial markets and frictions, bounded rationality, DSGE models, policy design, and international dimensions of macroeconomics, though the precise focus will be determined dynamically.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to explain and apply advanced models in macroeconomics, critically evaluate research papers, and connect theoretical insights with empirical evidence. They will also gain experience in formulating research questions and positioning their own work within the broader macroeconomic literature.
